This policy explains how Kultura Filipino Restaurant & Bar (“Kultura”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses your personal data when you book a table, buy a gift voucher, or use our website. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

  • Your name, email address, and phone number when you book or buy a voucher.
  • Booking details: date, time, party size, special occasion, and any dietary or allergy notes you choose to share.
  • Gift voucher details, including a recipient's name and email if you send one as a gift.
  • Payment information for online deposits and vouchers. Card details are handled directly by our payment processor (Stripe), we never see or store your full card number.
  • Basic website usage data via cookies (see Cookies below).

Why we use it (lawful basis)

  • To fulfil your booking or voucher, performance of a contract.
  • To send confirmations, reminders, and receipts, performance of a contract and our legitimate interest in good service.
  • To take and reconcile payments, performance of a contract and legal obligation.
  • To keep financial records, legal obligation (tax).
  • To send marketing, only ever with your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who we share it with

We only share data with the service providers that help us run the restaurant, each acting as a processor under contract:

  • Stripe, processing online deposit and voucher payments.
  • Resend, delivering confirmation, reminder, and voucher emails.
  • EPOS Now, our in-house till and sales records.
  • Google Maps, the map shown on our site.

We never sell your data. We may disclose information if required by law.

How long we keep it

  • Booking records: around 24 months, so we can recognise returning guests and resolve queries.
  • Payment and voucher records: up to 6 years, to meet HMRC requirements.
  • Marketing consents: until you withdraw them.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to our use of your data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email us at info@kulturaaberdeen.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies to make the site work (for example, to keep you signed in as staff).
